Astronomical Clock 107

Photographing the icon of the city. An object that is photographed every second raises some questions. Let’s leave the astronomical clock in the background and watch its observers: they are the ones that give meaning to it.

Talking about Prague is talking about its most iconic element: the astronomical clock. And no wonder: this magnificent piece, the pride of medieval engineering, is surprising for its accurate working and its elegant ornamental elements which indicate the time and the date on the calendar and the position of the sun and the moon.

This photograph of Astronomical Clock is part of Project 57, the artistic project that we make from the BoHo Hotel to show new corners and new perspectives of Prague. You can find it in a large-scale format in room 307 of our hotel.
