Charles Bridge 401

This picture of the Charles Bridge was taken early in the morning. I had previously changed the diaphragm (f-235) for a smaller one. I didn’t expect Prague to be such a luminous city. I collected empty cans of Coca-Cola from the street for several days to create a series of diaphragms. The good thing about pinhole photography is that you modify your own cameras constantly depending on the results you’re obtaining.

Charles Bridge

There are numerous historic sites of central Prague which can be observed from the Charles Bridge. This particular one is located on the bank of the Vltava River where the Devil’s channel begins and near the museum of Franz Kafka: probably the favourite son of the city par excellence as evidenced by the numerous corners in which Kafka is remembered.

This photograph of Charles Bridge is part of Project 57, the artistic project that we make from the BoHo Hotel to show new corners and new perspectives of Prague. You can find it in a large-scale format in room 401 of our hotel.
