Kampa Island 410

Self-Portrait. I rest under the branch of a tree, there is a palace behind me. Possibly this is the first time in twenty years that I appear in one of my photographs.

Kampa Island

Originally, besides being the island where many women washed the clothes, Kampa Island was known for mills in the Certovka (Devil channel) which spins very fast. Today you can find restored the mill of Grand Prior and its spectacular 8-meter- diameter wheel as a legacy of those times.

This photograph of Kampa Island is part of Project 57, the artistic project that we make from the BoHo Hotel to show new corners and new perspectives of Prague. You can find it in a large-scale format in room 410 of our hotel.
