Strelecky Ostrov 312

I like cities that have spaces where you can be by yourself, public and intimate places where you can be alone. Prague has many of these places, despite being one of the major tourist cities in Europe.

Strelecky Ostrov

There are three islands in the Vltava which are in the centre of Prague: Slovanský, Dětský and Strelecky. The first two are accessible through gateways located on both sides, a few metres from the mainland. However, in order to get to Strelecky, perhaps the most emblematic island, you must do so through the Legion Bridge. The three islands are lush and full of unspoiled nature, so they pose despite the tourist affluence, an oasis of peace.

This photograph of Strelecky Ostrov is part of Project 57, the artistic project that we make from the BoHo Hotel to show new corners and new perspectives of Prague. You can find it in a large-scale format in room 312 of our hotel.
